The Provincial Court in Valencia will hear evidence from today, Tuesday, against a man for whom the Prosecutor’s Office initially requests a sentence of two years in prison for a crime of sexual abuse allegedly committed against a 15-year-old girl.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office reports that he approached her on September 5, 2021, on a street in Sagunto, addressed her with phrases with sexual content, followed her closely and pushed her to enter his home, at which point a neighbour appeared. He helped the girl so that she could freely continue on her way.

Also today, a case of a continued crime of robbery with force will be heard, of which a man is accused of assaulting a gym in Valencia on at least three occasions, when the facilities were closed due to the pandemic, facts for which he faces five years in prison.

The robberies occurred between April 22 and May 14, 2020, when, according to the public accusation, the defendant entered the sports centre, either through the main door or through an emergency hallway, and took cash, mobile phones, a computer, and food products.

The thefts plus the damage caused to the premises and its facilities were valued at more than 20,000 euro.

The accused was arrested on May 14, after being surprised by the National Police inside the gym when he tried to escape through a false ceiling.
