The trial begins today, Tuesday, in the Provincial Court of the Balearic Islands, against a man the Guardia Civil caught in 2021 with almost one hundred grams of pink cocaine, or tucibi, of very low purity, ready for sale. The Prosecutor’s Office requests five years in prison for the accused.

The events occurred on July 31, 2021, when the Guardia Civil stopped the car driven by the now accused, a Colombian national, on the Sant Josep highway.

According to the Prosecutor’s indictment, after searching the vehicle, the agents found a bag under the back seat containing 45 self-sealing bags containing just under a gram of a pink substance. Additionally, in the boot, in the lining of a suitcase, there was another self-sealing bag with 48.5 grams of the same pink powder. He also carried a precision scale, two packages of self-sealing bags and 140 euro in cash, suspected from the sale of drugs.

After analysing the contents of the bags, it was determined that the powder was a mixture of caffeine, ketamine and MDMA, the ketamine had a purity of just over 40% and the MDMA of just over 16%, so it was practically pink caffeine.

The contents of the one-gram bags, arranged for sale, were valued at 2,085 euro, and that of the large bag at 2,328.

The Prosecutor’s Office requests a sentence of five years in prison for the accused for a crime against public health with substances that cause serious damage to health and a fine of 6,000 euro.
