Amazon will have a new logistics centre in Escúzar, Granada, covering more than 9,000 square metres and will be fully operational starting in September.
The new platform will serve to streamline delivery processes to customers in the city and surrounding areas, creating more than 40 permanent full- and part-time jobs.
This centre will be the company’s fourth logistics station in Andalusia, along with those in Malaga, Seville and Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz. Since 2011, Amazon has invested more than 13 billion euro in Spain.
Amazon points out that with the opening of this new logistics station it will offer “a wide variety of quality jobs with professional development possibilities for all types of people. ”In addition, it will collaborate with two local delivery companies that will see their business volume increase and will be able to create, in turn, new jobs.
“We are excited to continue investing in Andalusia with a new logistics station in Granada, where we will provide efficient delivery to customers and contribute to the creation of hundreds of jobs alongside delivery partner companies,” said Gareth Watkins, head of Amazon Logistics in Spain.
