The ONCE Foundation, through its entity Inserta Empleo, will present the Informe 9 Odismet report on the labour market in Spain today, and the employment situation of people with disabilities, prepared by the Observatory on Disability and the Labour Market of ONCE Foundation (Odismet), which is also celebrating a decade since its creation.

The presentation will take place at the Por Talento Digital headquarters in Madrid, and will be broadcast live on the You Tube channel. In addition, it will be narrated on social networks with the hashtags #Informe9Odismet and #Odismet10Aniversario.

The event will be inaugurated by the general director of the ONCE Foundation, José Luis Martínez Donoso, together with the president of the National Institute of Statistics (INE), Elena Manzanera Díaz.

On the eve of International Labour Day, the opening of the event will also feature interventions by the general director of the State Public Employment Service (SEPE), Gerardo Gutiérrez; and the president of Cermi, Luis Cayo Pérez Bueno.

The Data Strategy coordinator of the ONCE Foundation and Inserta Empleo, Luis Enrique Quifez, will now explain the main figures reported, summarised in eleven key ideas. Among other things, they will look back on the evolution of the employment situation of this group since this Observatory was created ten years ago.

‘El País’ journalist Kiko Llaneras will speak as an expert in data analytics and visualisation to point out the importance of the existence of open public statistics that allow information to be constantly consulted and give a conference on how to ‘Communicate data efficiently’.

Afterwards, a round table moderated by the general director of Servimedia, José Manuel González Huesa, will analyse the ’10-year evolution in the employment of people with disabilities in Spain’. The deputy director general of Statistics and Information of the SEPE, Federico Muñiz Alonso, will participate; the managing director of Feacem, Josefa Torres; and the head of Accenture Recruitment, David Palomar.

The closing of the event will be carried out by the third vice president of Equality, Human Resources and Institutional Culture and Digital Inclusion of the General Council of ONCE, Patricia Sanz, who will carry out the closing institutional intervention after the data from Informe 9 Odismet is presented and analysed by the experts.

Odismet, the Observatory on Disability and the Labour Market, of the ONCE Foundation (www.odismet.es), is co-financed by the European Social Fund and has become a reference for the dissemination of information about people with disabilities and their relationship with the employment. It draws on the most prestigious sources of analysis and provides reliability and constant updating of information.
