May figures will start the markets week

At the start of the week, investors will focus their attention on the publication of industrial output in the Eurozone for May, after recording a contraction in activity of 3.0% year-on-year in April. In addition, we will learn about German retail sales for May.

On Tuesday 16th, a local holiday in many Spanish coastal towns, the ZEW survey in Germany for July will be published, which is key to determining the economic sentiment of investors in the leading European power. In turn, we will learn about the evolution of the trade balance in the Eurozone, and the final reading of the CPI in Italy for June.

On Wednesday 17th, the final reading of the Eurozone and UK CPI for June will be published. In turn, we will know the UK PPI.

Thursday 18th, the European Central Bank’s rate meeting will take place, where no change in the price of money by the Eurozone monetary authority is expected. In turn, we will know the UK unemployment rate for May, which reached 4.4% of the active population the previous month.

To end the week, the German producer price index for June and the UK retail sales for June will be published. At the same time, the data on the trade balance of our country and the current account balance of the Eurozone will also be highlighted.

On the business front, dividend payments will be made by Clínica Baviera, Miquel & Costas and Acerinox, among others. In turn, Bankinter will publish its results.
