The Zaragoza case concerns a 48-year-old woman allegedly murdered by her ex-partner on July 6, 2024. The victim had two minor children. There were no previous complaints of gender violence against the alleged aggressor.
The Valencia case involves a 31-year-old woman who was allegedly murdered by her partner on July 13, 2024. There were previous complaints of gender violence against the alleged aggressor.
In the case of Madrid, the victim is a 29-year-old woman who was allegedly murdered by her partner on July 13, 2024. The victim had a minor son from another relationship. There were no previous complaints of gender violence against the alleged aggressor.
The Tarragona case concerns a 76-year-old woman who was allegedly murdered by her partner on 13 July 2024. There were previous complaints of gender-based violence against the alleged aggressor.
In the case of Alicante, it is a 36-year-old woman who was allegedly murdered by her partner on July 14, 2024. There were no previous complaints of gender violence against the alleged aggressor.
With the confirmation of these cases, the number of women murdered due to gender violence in Spain rises to 26 in 2024 and to 1,270 since 2003, when this data began to be collected.
The number of minors orphaned by gender violence in Spain will rise to 17 in 2024 and to 450 since 2013.
The Ministry of Equality is still gathering data on the alleged gender-based murder of a 30-year-old woman in the province of Barcelona.

On the other hand, also remember that in an emergency situation you can call 112 or the emergency telephones of the National Police (091) and the Guardia Civil (062). In case it is not possible to make a call and in the event of a dangerous situation, you can use the ALERTCOPS application, from which an alert signal will be sent to the police with geolocation.
These means of assistance can be activated by the victim and also by any person who knows or suspects a case of gender violence. It is a duty of the whole society.
