On Tuesday, two men accused of being part of a gang specialised in growing marijuana indoors, drug trafficking and possessing three submachine guns, a pistol, and a revolver, with their corresponding ammunition, without a licence or permit to do so, will also be tried in the Valencia Court.
The Prosecutor’s Office is requesting 16 and a half years in prison for crimes against public health, belonging to a criminal group and storing war weapons for each of the defendants and maintains that both, together with a third person whose whereabouts are unknown, had been engaged since at least December 2021 in the cultivation of marijuana for sale and the distribution of other substances.
During house searches carried out at the homes of the defendants, one in La Pobla de Vallbona and the other in Casinos, machinery necessary for the installation of the crops was found, as well as various quantities of other drugs and the necessary equipment to prepare them for sale.
The weapons were seized inside a vehicle.
