Maserati has launched an extensive update for its Grecale SUV, GranTurismo coupé, and GranCabrio convertible line-ups to celebrate the centenary of its Trident logo. Developed and manufactured in Italy at the Modena and Cassino facilities, the refreshed models place an increased focus on road safety and driver awareness, debuting an advanced system that actively monitors motorist fatigue and distraction. Alongside interior digital upgrades and automated ride-height adjustments for varying terrains, the mechanical line-up sees the Formula 1-derived V6 Nettuno engine boosted to 590 CV in the Trofeo models and introduced as a new 390 hp option for the Grecale SUV, while refined aerodynamics and energy algorithms extend the driving range of the fully electric Folgore variants.

The Modena-based luxury manufacturer Maserati has unveiled comprehensive updates across its Grecale, GranTurismo, and GranCabrio models. Marking the centenary of the iconic Trident logo, the strategic overhaul introduces refined styling languages, heightened powertrain outputs, and advanced driver assistance systems focused on motorist safety.

Upgraded safety and driver assistance technology

In alignment with evolving road safety requirements, the updated GranTurismo and GranCabrio introduce a newly developed driver monitoring system designed to detect driver fatigue and distraction while on the road. The digital interface has been completely overhauled to streamline information delivery, combining a 12.3-inch central display, an 8.8-inch comfort panel, a customizable 12.2-inch digital instrument cluster, and a head-up display to ensure vital trip data remains safely in the driver’s line of sight.

For enhanced vehicle control under varying road conditions, all versions of the GranTurismo and GranCabrio now come equipped as standard with an all-wheel-drive system and adaptive air suspension with adjustable ride-height configurations. The high-performance Trofeo and all-electric Folgore variants feature five distinct driving modes, including a new “Country” mode that automatically raises the vehicle’s body height by 20 mm at speeds up to 120 km/h to handle uneven surfaces safely.

Enhanced performance and mechanical revisions

The mechanical updates focus heavily on the 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 Nettuno engine, which features patented combustion technology derived directly from Formula 1.

  • GranTurismo and GranCabrio Trofeo: The V6 Nettuno engine receives a 40 hp boost, now developing a maximum output of 590 CV and 650 Nm of torque. The GranTurismo Trofeo achieves a top track speed exceeding 320 km/h. A standard entry-level version continues to offer 490 CV.
  • Grecale SUV: The D-segment luxury SUV introduces the V6 Nettuno engine configuration to a broader audience, premiering a new 390 hp variant for the Modena V6 and Grecale V6 trims. This setup provides a 32 per cent increase in low-end torque compared to the standard 2.0-litre four-cylinder power unit. The top-tier Grecale Trofeo V6 produces 530 CV, covering 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 285 km/h.

Electric Folgore range developments

Maserati’s fully electric Folgore variants benefit from revised energy management algorithms and aerodynamic optimization. The GranTurismo Folgore delivers a continuous 760 CV through an 800-volt three-motor system, utilizing a unique T-shaped 92.5 kWh battery layout to maintain a low centre of gravity and a vehicle height of just 1,353 mm. It now achieves an official driving range of over 540 kilometres.

The convertible GranCabrio Folgore reaches a top speed of 290 km/h, making it the fastest production electric convertible currently on the road. Meanwhile, the Grecale Folgore SUV increases its maximum range by up to 53 kilometres on 21-inch wheels, thanks to a new Air Grille Shutter (AGS) system and optimized underbody airflow channels.
