Sales of second-hand cars and SUVs have fallen by 8.9% in the month of November in the Valencian Community compared to the same month of 2020, to 19,374 units, according to data provided this Friday by the Faconauto employers (dealers) and Ganvam (distributors).
By provinces, the sale of second-hand vehicles in November fell in Valencia by -14.95% to 8,935 units, followed by Castellón, which fell by -10.02% to 2,262 units, and finally Alicante, with a slight decrease in -0.81% to 8,177 units.

In the whole of Spain, the market has reversed the trend after four months down and has registered a rise of 1% in November compared to the same month in 2020, to stand at 184,554 units. Thus, in November, 2.8 second-hand vehicles were sold for each new vehicle.
So far this year, the second-hand market has accumulated a total of 1,783,069 units sold in the country, which is 10.8% more, although still 5.2% less than in the same period of 2019, which places the VO / VN ratio at 2.3 to 1 until November.
The bosses’ forecasts suggest that “the second-hand market will close the year with a 9% rise compared to 2020,” they point out in a statement. Thus, although it is estimated that it will touch two million units (1.99 million operations), it will remain 5% below 2019.
In an analysis by age bracket, the models that performed the best last month were those used for up to one year, which grew by 38.9%, reaching 20,502 units.
It was followed by models between 5 and 8 years old, with a rise of 24.8% and a total of 16,453 units; While those over 15 years old, 2 protagonists of transactions between individuals, rose by 11.4% compared to November 2020, which is 43.1% above the same month in 2019.
