Major New Works Around San Pedro del Pinator Unveiled This Week

A series of major works around San Pedro del Pinatar were formally unveiled this week by the San Pedro mayor, Visitación Martínez, and Murcia’s regional environment minister, Adela Martínez Cachá. The projects include a new network of floodwater collectors in the municipality as well as regeneration work at Villananitos.

New Commercial Centre at San Pedro del Pinatar Now Open

San Pedro del Pinatar’s new commercial centre, Pinatar Park, officially opened its doors for business at the end of last week in time for the pre-Christmas and Three Kings rush. The 23,000-square-metre site located off the N-332 highway at Los Sáez, has had 16 million euro invested in it, with some 380 car parking spaces.

Racket Rumbled

Nine people, including two children, have been arrested in Murcia and Ciudad Real for running a fake 200-euro-note racket including the production and distribution of the counterfeit bank notes. Heavy storms showed up the inadequacy of the newly-installed stormwater tank in the Lo Pagán area of San Pedro del Pinatar according to the Pacto por el Mar Menor environmental group.
