Spain: a barrier against all attempts to bring illegal drugs into the European Union

The State law enforcement agencies and the Assistant Directorate of Customs Enforcement seized more than 10.3 tonnes of cocaine in the first quarter of 2013 (an increase of 58% on the same period of 2012), 38.4 tonnes of hashish (63% less than in the same quarter of 2012), 71 kilograms of heroin (56% less), 9.7 kilograms of ecstasy (54% less) and 183 doses of speed (210% more than in the same period of last year).
