A 23 year old Spanish woman gave birth to her second child this weekend, a 2.5 kilogram baby boy, who arrived ever so slightly earlier than was hoped.
An ambulance had been called to attend the home of the mother, after municipal police officers were already on the scene and alerted them of the heavily pregnant woman in need of assistance.
The ambulance attended and commenced a transfer to the Gregorio Marañon maternity hospital in Madrid, but the baby decided to make his appearance in the back of the ambulance as it arrived on the hospital forecourt.
Both mother and baby are reported to be in good health.
