The Barcelona police have lodged a complaint against a female driver of a vehicle, who they committed an offense of reckless driving, contrary to Article 380 of the Criminal Code, after a video shows her vehicle invading the opposite carriageway of a road and “seriously” endangering a group of cyclists she was overtaking.
This incident occurred on the BV-5001, between kilometre posts 9 and 11, passing through the town of Sant Fost de Campsentelles, Barcelona, on the 6th of July. One of the cyclists was wearing a helmet camera, which recorded the incident, allowing officers to then trace the owner of the vehicle involved.
The investigation concluded last week with a summons issued and a file recorded against the 31 year old woman, of Spanish nationality and a resident of Sant Fost de Campsentelles, who chose not to testify before the police, who will now be called to appear before the courts.
