A 48 year old German fugitive died after jumping from the 11th floor of a hotel to evade capture by the Spanish National police.
The victim was the subject of an international arrest warrant which the officers were enforcing having located the man staying at the Tryp Bellver hotel in Palma de Mallorca.
The man died instantly at the scene, and an investigation into his death is now being carried out.
