The Regional Education department of Valencia has agreed with the educational community and will delay the start of the first school term in September.

Many workers in the education sector believed that a return to work on the 3^rd of September was too soon after they finished at the start of June, and proposed a delay until the 10^th.

The Valencian government will meet next week to finalise the dates but now look set to agree that the school year should start on the 10^th of September for those in primary education, and two or three days later for those in secondary school.
