If you´re flying to or from Manchester Airport this summer, you might want to be aware that the price for picking up or dropping off passengers has increased in some places.

Manchester Airport implemented a pick-up and drop-off fee to try to reduce congestion around the airport. Passengers can be dropped off at free zones away from the facility and then catch a courtesy bus, but to go all the way to the terminal incurs a fee.
From this Saturday, 1 June, the price has increased, albeit by 50p in most cases. The increase applies to motorists using the multi-storey car parks to pick up and drop off passengers. The price in the designated drop-off lanes remains unchanged.
The airport has justified the increase saying that it brings Manchester in line with other UK airports, and is the first price increase in two years.
The price from this weekend is now £4.50 for a stay of up to 30 minutes.
