The courts in Alicante will be hearing evidence today against a man accused of assaulting a councillor in the Alicante town of Alcalalí.
The incident occurred on February 16, 2020, in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, when the accused went to the town hall to prove an alleged labour irregularity.
When in the plaza, the defendant, according to the Prosecutor, reproached the councillor in an argument about taking photographs in the area, and the accused grabbed him by the neck, shook him and threw him to the ground.
