The First Section of the Provincial Court of Valencia will begin to hear evidence from today, Wednesday, against a man who will be tried for allegedly sexually assaulting, mistreating and threatening his sentimental partner and who is facing a request for a 16-year sentence.
According to the prosecutor, the defendant and the victim had a relationship in which they lived together in a municipality in the Costera region.
The public prosecution maintains that the man constantly belittled the victim and dominated her with habitual insults and physical assaults, and on one occasion, the defendant brandished a knife and pointed it at her while threatening to kill her.
On December 30, 2021, the defendant woke up the victim and forced her to have sex, despite the fact that she refused at all times.
After leaving the relationship, in February 2022, the defendant went to the victim’s workplace, a vehicle repair shop, where he took a three-kilo iron hammer and directed it at the woman’s head, while he said he was going to kill her.
The hammer did not hit the victim due to the intervention of her boss, who prevented the attack.
