The Guardia Civil, in the so-called Botu operation, has arrested a woman for performing aesthetic treatments at her home without the required qualifications.

The investigators verified that the alleged professional did not have a medical degree, nor was she registered in medicine, these requirements being necessary to be able to carry out this type of treatment and to be able to acquire the medicines to be supplied.
In the search of his home, 3,400 units of Botox, a kilo of hyaluronic acid, various vials containing injectable medications and innumerable sanitary supplies such as hypodermic needles, syringes, etc. have been seized. In addition, numerous documents have been seized indicating that there could be more of 100 people affected who would have undergone aesthetic treatments carried out by the detainee.
The medicines were stored without the slightest hygienic-sanitary conditions, using the refrigerator in their kitchen to preserve them along with food.
In addition, the investigation continues to determine whether the detainee acquired the medications, via the Internet, from other countries, as well as whether they met the pertinent health requirements.
She has been arrested for the crimes of professional intrusion, injuries and crimes against public health.
