The Court of A Coruña judges this week two sexual assaults (one crime of abuse and another of assault) of two minors under 16 years of age who met their attackers through social networks.
The case of abuse will be judged this Wednesday and Thursday in Section 2 of the Provincial Court of A Coruña.
The Prosecutor’s Office requests 10 years in prison for the man, accused of a crime of sexual abuse of a minor under 16 years of age with “carnal access”, with a crime of contact via the Internet with the proposal to arrange a sexual encounter.
They also request four years in prison for a crime of dissemination or exhibition of pornographic material to a minor.
Likewise, they ask for eight years of supervised release after completing the sentence, the prohibition of communicating with the victim or approaching her within 100 metres for eight years; as well as his disqualification from the exercise of any profession that involves contact with minors for five years.
As civil liability, they ask for compensation of 6,000 euro.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office in its qualification document, the events occurred in August 2020, in the judicial district of Ferrol, and the parents reported what happened in 2021.
They explain that the accused contacted the minor, knowing that they were 14 years old, through two different social networks. They had conversations of sexual content and he sent naked photos. Later, they had a meeting at the defendant’s home.
In the case of sexual assault with penetration, the Prosecutor’s Office requests 10 years in prison for the man accused of this crime and a three-month fine with a daily fee of 10 euro for a crime of minor injuries.
They also request a ban on communicating with the victim or approaching her within 300 metres for 15 years.
As civil liability, they ask for compensation of 50,000 euro.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the events occurred in June 2019 in the judicial district of Santiago.
The case will be judged this Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in Section 6 of the Provincial Court of A Coruña, behind closed doors.
