Gibraltar’s emergency services and other first responders will take part in a drill on Thursday to practice the multi-departmental response to a terrorist attack. The planning and direction of the exercise is the responsibility of the Civil Contingencies Office.
The drill will take place at various locations in Gibraltar and will use emergency lights. The deployment of operations and the activation of the Tactical and Strategic Coordination Groups will be practiced, to reproduce as much as possible a response to a terrorist attack.
There is no need to be alarmed. The official information assures that this is part of routine planning and training, and that inconvenience will be minimal.
