The Costa Blanca is tuning up for a vibrant summer as towns across the region prepare to host an impressive variety of music festivals throughout July and August. From international headliners to local talent, the calendar is packed with events that cater to all musical tastes, promising a boost for both tourism and community life.
Among the standout festivals this year is the long-running Festival Internacional de Benicà ssim (FIB), taking place from 17 to 19 July. Although slightly north of the Costa Blanca’s core, it remains a major draw for thousands of music fans staying along the coast. Closer to home, Alicante and Elche will also see a mix of jazz, pop, indie, and flamenco performances in outdoor venues and coastal parks, often with free entry.
Smaller towns such as Altea, Denia, and Calpe are joining the rhythm too, hosting intimate concerts in historic squares and beachfront promenades. These local events often incorporate food trucks, artisan markets, and family-friendly entertainment, making them ideal for both residents and visitors.
Beyond entertainment, local councils view the festival season as a cornerstone of summer tourism strategy. Municipal budgets have been allocated to improve stage facilities, enhance crowd safety, and promote the festivals internationally. Hotels and short-term rentals are already reporting increased demand as music fans finalise their travel plans.
This year’s programme not only celebrates music but also reflects a regional commitment to cultural vitality and economic recovery. With stages being set across the coastline, the Costa Blanca is once again preparing to dance to the sound of summer.
