British Airways has announced a regular connecting shuttle service between London and Granada, which will see four flights a week connect London City Airport with Granada´s Aeropuerto Federico García Lorca. The flights will operate to the closest airport to the City of London using 98-seat Embraer 190 aircraft, and fly every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Tickets have already gone on sale at the BA website, with flights at 100 euro initially being advertised.
The first transatlantic flight from Madrid to Boston on an Iberia Airlines Airbus A330 took to the skies this week, as she departed at 13:40 on Monday afternoon, touching down at 15:52, local time. Miami, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles are all on the future schedule of the airline, with 17 aircraft operating their long-haul timetable from May, in a joint venture that has support from British Airways and American Airlines. Iberia first connected Madrid with Boston in May 2006, now, with these state of the art aircraft, they take their international departure boards to the next level, with 36 “Business Class” seats, 242 economy places, with internet connections, mobile phone use and other such technological developments, as well as fully reclining seats for those who are being treated in the superior levels of luxury.
