Spain concerned by global death penalty figures

18/04/2013. Once again, Spain is concerned by the figures published by Amnesty International on the use of the death penalty in 2012. Especially worrying are the new executions carried out by countries that were previously applying a moratorium. The number of executions carried out in retentionist countries continues to rise (those countries that maintain the death penalty as part of their legislation), as does the degree of secretism and lack of guarantees in many cases.
