Spanish Tax Office carries out largest operation against counterfeit product smuggling in five years

05/06/2013. In collaboration with the Guardia Civil, the Spanish Tax Office has broken up an organisation engaged in the smuggling of counterfeit goods in Algeciras and the provinces of Malaga, Guadalajara and Toledo. During the course of the operation – codenamed ‘Tazas’ – a total of 206,042 items valued at 91,873,000 euros were seized and three people have been charged so far.
