State Secretary for the European Union celebrates Croatia joining European Union and launch of Lithuanian Presidency

On Monday morning, the State Secretary for the European Union, Iñigo Méndez de Vigo, attended the event to celebrate the incorporation of the Republic of Croatia into the European Union, which was held at Cibeles Palace, and the subsequent official raising of the Lithuanian flag as the country takes over the presidency of the Council of the European Union for the second half of 2013 and the raising of the Croatian flag as a new Member State, which took place at the headquarters of the European institutions.
