HABANERAS DRAWS TO SUCCESSFUL CLOSE

Torrevieja played host to the 59th International Contest of Habanera and Polyphony this week, in the historic location of the Eras de Sal, with soloists, choirs and musicians all coming together to bring the best in music and cultural entertainment to the thousands of people who attended this prestigious competition.

The past met modern times for this event, as the whole show was broadcast live via the internet, with free wi-fi connections for those attending, encouraging them to share their experience with their virtual friends and those who couldn´t attend.

Despite the organisers looking forward to next year, marking the 60th anniversary, this year´s even was said to have been the most successful ever, with international representatives from across the globe, all uniting with the single goal of raising the standards of this much applauded event.
