03/09/2013. Unemployment fell for the sixth consecutive month and has now fallen by a total of 340,000. The year-on-year rate has fallen by more than ten points since 2012 and now stands at 1.58%, the best figure since 2007. Recorded unemployment among the under-25s has fallen by 6.9% year-on-year.
