Spain receives Franklin D. Roosevelt Award; the highest international distinction in the field of disability policy

09/09/2013. Persons with disabilities in Spain are no longer the “subject” of treatment and social protection but have become citizens with rights capable of taking part in decision-making processes. This change, as well as the advances made in terms of inclusion policies, has merited the presentation to Spain of the Franklin D. Roosevelt International Disability Rights Awards; the highest distinction that can be received by a State in the field of disability.
