2012 public deficit better than March estimate by 0.2% at final figure of 6.84% of GDP

All the public authorities as a whole closed 2012 with a deficit of 6.84% of GDP, 0.14 percentage points lower than the figure submitted to the European Union in the first report that was sent in March (which contained a figure of 6.98%) and 2.2 percentage points lower than the 9.07% of GDP recorded at the close of 2011.
