The Jaguar F-TYPE Coupé will make its global debut tomorrow, Tuesday19th November, on the eve of the Los Angeles auto show.
To date just one F-TYPE Coupé image has been released, but now in the next stage of a social media campaign active across Jaguar’s Facebook, Instagram, Google+, Twitter and YouTube channels, additional ‘hidden’ images are becoming available in the run up to the event.
A ‘secret dark room’ will launch on a select number of Jaguar’s official websites, including Jaguar’s all-new international site jaguar.com, which will feature a never-seen-before F-TYPE Coupé image. It will only be visible to people who enter a secret code that will be hidden within some of Jaguar’s teaser assets, and key ‘insider’ online sites. So look carefully and take part in the fun to grab a look at the new images.
F-TYPE Coupé will go on sale from spring 2014 plus the F-TYPE social media campaign is active across: Facebook – Facebook.com/Jaguar: Twitter – @Jaguar: Instagram – Instagram.com/Jaguar: YouTube – YouTube.com/JaguarCars and Google+ – plus.google.com/+jaguarcars.
At the moment there are three models in the F-TYPE range. F-TYPE, F-TYPE S and F-TYPE V8 S. Each is distinguished by the power output of its supercharged petrol engine with all engines featuring stop/start technology to maximise efficiency. Adrian Hallmark, Global Brand Director, Jaguar said: “Jaguar is a founder member of the sports car segment with a rich sporting bloodline stretching over 75 years, and in the F-TYPE we’ve reignited that flame. The F-TYPE isn’t designed to be like anyone else’s sports car. It’s a Jaguar sports car – ultra-precise, powerful, sensual and, most of all, it feels alive.”
The cars are fitted with a new 3.0-litre V6, developed from Jaguar’s highly acclaimed 5.0-litre V8, is available in either 340PS or 380PS variants, powering the F-TYPE and F-TYPE S respectively. The F-TYPE V8 S model, accelerates to 60mph in 4.2 seconds (0-100km/h in 4.3 seconds) and on to an electronically limited top speed of 186mph (300km/h). The 380PS V6 F-TYPE S covers the 0-60mph sprint in 4.8 seconds (0-100km/h in 4.9 seconds) and has an electronically limited top speed of 171mph (275km/h) and the 340PS V6 F-TYPE accelerates to 60mph in 5.1 seconds (0-100km/h in 5.3 seconds) and on to an electronically limited top speed of 161mph (260km/h).
Wednesday’s launch will confirm the new engine configurations, specifications and prices, for one of Jaguar’s most anticipated new models this century.
