The President of Spanish airport authority AENA, José Manuel Vargas, has said this week that the operator has a vested interest in ensuring that the problems facing Corvera airport are “fixed”.
The statement was made in response to a question at a press conference, when asked about AENA´s interest in managing Murcia´s new regional airport, after the region resolved their issues with original operating plans with the concession led by Sacyr.
“When the Government of Murcia is ready", Vargas explained, “we could reach an agreement in the future, when necessary, for the opening of Corvera airport, providing that both the rights of workers and the company itself are respected”.
