A total of six people have been killed in five fatal traffic accidents on the roads of Spain this weekend, in the initial count from between Friday at 15:00 and Sunday at 20:00, according to the DGT traffic department. An additional three people were injured; two of those are in a serious condition.
Saturday produced the most tragedies with the only accident that resulted in two fatalities, when two vehicles collided on the AP-7 motorway in the vicinity of Vandellós i l’Hospitalet de l’Infant in Tarragona. The driver and passenger in one vehicle were killed, whilst two other people were injured.
On Saturday, a total of four people lost their lives, whereas on Sunday the figure was two. Friday was a good day on the roads with no fatalities reported at all.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, an unmarked Guardia Civil radar car was involved in a smash in Asturias, resulting in considerable damage to the vehicle, but the two officers were said to have been uninjured.
