A 55 year old male was arrested this weekend after seemingly intentionally driving his car into the front of the Guardia Civil barracks at Aspe.
The incident occurred at around 2 in the morning, after the person had been reportedly involved in an altercation at the town´s health centre. The man is then believed to have driven to the barracks in his car, crashing against the door post, allegedly on purpose.
A “heated” discussion several Guardia Civil officers then followed, resulting in the man being arrested.
The man suffered minor injuries in the accident, and therefore was taken to the Hospital in Elche, where he was treated whilst under arrest.
The Guardia Civil confirmed that an altercation had taken place and a person was arrested, unable to comment further, other than to confirm that no officers were injured during the incident.
