Spanish exports posted year-on-year growth of 5.2% for 2013 (1.4 points higher than the same figure for 2012), and totalled 234.24 billion euros, a new all-time high since records began (1971). In real terms growth was actually stronger, amounting to 5.4%, since export prices calculated as Unit Value Indices (UVIs) fell by 0.2%.
