Record January spending by inbound tourists of 3.11 billion euros, up 10.1%

27/02/2014. With an increase of 6.5%, Germany was the emitting market with the highest spending figure. This was followed by the United Kingdom – with an increase of 8% – and the Nordic countries (up 9.4%). The Canary Islands – the main destination – recorded spending by inbound tourists of 1.17 billion euros. This is almost double the figure recorded in the second-most popular destination – Catalonia, with 620 million euros.
