Officers from the Spanish National Police have arrested a 71 year old British fugitive in the Valencia town of L’Olleria, wanted in connection with sexual offences against children alleged to have taken place between 1976 and 1980.
The man is the subject of a European arrest warrant issued in the UK, in which the man is wanted for questioning in relation to offences which state that he sexually abused his two stepchildren, aged 8 and 11 at the time, as well as being accused of inflicting violence onto the children to ensure their silence.
The report states that the man took advantage of the children at night, when their mother was working, with the two children claiming that the abuse of the two continued for a period of 4 years.
Upon learning of the presence of the man in the area, officers from the Guardia Civil and Judicial Police determined the place of residence of the man and then arrested him in his home to face the judicial system.
