PROVINCIAL GRANTS FOR LOCAL IMPROVEMENTS

The infrastructure committee of the provincial council of Alicante has awarded nearly 2 million euro in grants for equipment, works and improvements to 17 municipalities in the province.

Amongst the projects receiving funding are Guardamar del Segura, who will be given a grant of 38,841.30 euro install ornamental lighting in the outdoor environment of the castle. Elche will get 219,990.47 euro for improving several streets in the city centre, whereas Santa Pola will be given 186,036.99 euro to improve municipal parks and gardens. Bigastro will receive 47,991.34 euro to carry out repairs and improvements to the sports centre.

In addition, the total grant budget will be shared and go towards improvements in Parcent, Pedreguer, Cocentaina, Muro de Alcoy, Orxeta, Tibi, Alcalalí, Benimassot, Pinoso, Salinas, Benigembla, Polop and Benilloba.
