Lorraine Simpson (Chairman of the popular Velvetones Harmony Chorus) just loves holidaying on cruise ships – so she came up with the idea for a social get together and tour of the ship ‘Island Escape’.
The ladies set off for Cartagena port and enjoyed a fabulous tour followed by a fantastic lunch. The crew were so attentive and even made a special 90th birthday cake for Jacky, a visiting friend of the Velvetones.
The chorus then sang to the delight of sun worshippers around the pool – to rapturous applause! Ross – the entertainments manager, was so impressed that he treated the chorus to cocktails before checking that there were no stowaways left on board!
