The St. John Passion by Johann Sebastian Bach will be performed in Costa Blanca and Costa del Sol by Swedish and Finnish artists.
The concerts will be in Torrevieja and Benalmadena and the performing artists are the renowned baroque orchestra Drottningholm Baroque Ensemble from Sweden, the talented chamber choir Utopia from Finland and a long list of excellent soloists from Finland: soprano Anu Komsi, countertenor Teppo Lampela, tenor Tuomas Katajala, tenor Charles Barbier, baritone Olli Tuovinen and bass Esa Ruuttunen.
Conductor is church musician Heikki Seppänen from Finland, who is currently working at the Finnish Lutheran Parish in Torrevieja.
The first concert will be in Torrevieja at Teatro Municipal on Friday, March 20th at 7 pm, and the second concert will be on the Costa del Sol, in Iglesia de la Virgen del Carmen (Calle Aguacate) in Benalmadena on Sunday, March 22nd at 8.30 pm.
Ticket sales for the concert in Torrevieja (25 €) can be bought online: https://www.instanticket.es, at the Finnish Lutheran Parish (Calle Maldonado 2) or from the ticket booth in front of the theatre on the day of the concert.
Tickets (25 €) for the Costa del Sol concert can be bought from the Finnish Lutheran Parish in Los Boliches (Edif. Don Luis, local 1,Avda. Nuestro Padre Jesús Cautivo 42) and from the Swedish Lutheran Parish in Fuengirola (Avda. Alcalde Clemente Díaz Ruiz 4, http://www.svenskakyrkan.se/costadelsol).
