TRAFFIC BROUGHT TO SOPT IN ALICANTE

Drivers travelling through Alicante’s polígono industrial de Ibi couldn’t believe their eyes as they came across a new roadsign on Tuesday.

Blamed on Council staff, the road junction had been repainted ‘SOPT’ when it should actually have said ‘STOP?.

The mistake lasted only a few hours however by which time the council workmen had returned to correct their error
