The Guardia Civil has charged a driver who was recorded driving at high speed whilst carrying a child in the vehicle without proper restraints.
The accused, who posted the video on a popular social network site, is filmed driving at high speed and with his 4 year old son standing between the two front seats.
Therefore, S.S.D., aged 25, and a resident of El Burgo de Osma, Soria, was charged with an offense against traffic safety consistent with driving a motor vehicle recklessly, endangering life or integrity of persons.
The investigation began following citizen collaboration when the Guardia Civil became aware of the video, which shows the driver of a vehicle recorded driving at 190 km / h.
The investigation then confirmed that the event had occurred in the summer of 2012, on the A-15 road in the vicinity of El Burgo de Osma.
The driver was identified after officers took stills from the video and were able to recognise both the face of the driver and passenger, and the type and colour of the vehicle used. The officers are also investigating whether a second vehicle seen in the video was also involved in a competition.
The matter is now being dealt with through the courts.
