MAYOR OPENS ART EXHIBITION

The Mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, and councillor for senior citizens, Inmaculada Montesinos, attended the inauguration of an exhibition of works created by the Association of Pensioners and Retirees of La Mata, which was held in the municipal leisure centre.

The exhibition was to mark the eighth anniversary of the association, known to be one of the most active groups in the area.

The president of the group, Antonio Vega, explained how more than 30 partners have exhibited 70 pieces which were created over the last few months, including paintings, ceramics, wood carvings, photographs, tile decoration, jewellery and others.

The Mayor congratulated the members of this association, which has more than 300 partners who actively participate in the many activities organized by the seniors department of Torrevieja Town Hall.
