Drug Withdrawal Notice

A consumer action group has advised that a liquid Ibuprofen medication has been withdrawn.

The Kern Pharma 40 mg/ml bottles, in 150 ml size, bearing the lot H05, have been withdrawn due to quality standards.

The group is recommending consumers check any supplies they might have and return them to the point of sale if there is any doubt, in order to obtain a replacement.

The group also states that the drug should not be consumed if it matches the type and lot number specified, although the manufacturer has issued a statement reassuring users that there is no risk to health of the patients, as the problem is a higher than allowed amount of yeast.
