MY MY LITTLE PONY!
Orihuela local police intercepted a Walker on the CV-870 road in the Virgen del Camino are this week, taking him in for questioning as a result.
Not that any laws had been broken by the lone walker, but the fact that it was a four-legged pedestrian and walking unaccompanied raised their suspicions.
Once the lone pony was taken into custody, for its own safety, the Asoka municipal animal rescue centre were asked to look after it whilst an investigation was launched to confirm his identity and address.
The investigation ultimately revealing that the pony had ran away from the circus to find a home, and had escaped from a travelling fair which was in La Murada 3 months ago.
The owner told the police that the pony had escaped and they were unable to find him, and so left him behind to fend for himself in the wilderness of Orihuela.
The owner has made subsequent arrangements to return to Orihuela when the two will be reunited, one receiving his beloved pony, the other losing his last ditch attempt to join the free world and now returning to a life on the road with his animal and human companions.
