Lucky Escape at the Airport

A driver rushing to catch a flight at Alicante-Elche airport on Friday met with an unexpected delay, when he crashed his car into the protective wall.

The driver, who was said to be “elderly” is said to have been confused by the fact that the vehicle was an automatic.

The strength of the security walls prevented the vehicle from continuing through the fencing and ending up in the arrivals hall below.

The passengers however managed to catch their flight on time.
