Four firefighters injured in an explosion in Mairena, Sevilla.
Four firefighters have been injured, two of them seriously, in an explosion which occurred in a residential building in Mairena del Alcor (Sevilla).
Emergency Service were called at 04:30 hours when a fire was noticed at the ground floor of a three storey building located on Avenida de los Alcores.
Ambulances, Civil Guard, local police and firefighters arrived and the whole building, inhabited by about twenty people was evacuated.
Whilst fighting the fire, an explosion occurred and as a result four firefighters were injured, two of them serious. The injured were taken to Hospital de Valme, and two other health centres.
