Guardia Civil Vehicle Stopped in Gibraltar

A marked patrol vehicle belonging to the Guardia Civil was stopped by British Police from entering Gibraltar on Monday.

However, this was not the latest diplomatic incident to cause unrest between the security services, but rather the opposite, as the vehicle had been stolen by a Polish citizen who had earlier been prevented from entering Gibraltar as he had no identity papers with him.

The man claims to have taken the patrol car after the keys had been left in the vehicle near to the border.

The man was arrested and the vehicle returned to the Guardia Civil.
