German Man Dies at La Zenia, Orihuela

A German man in his 60´s died on Monday whilst bathing in the sea of Orihuela´s La Zenia coastline.

The incident occurred at around 09:20 on Monday morning, before lifeguards start their daily duties.

The body was pulled from the water by a Salvamento Maritimo crew.

It is the first recorded drowning on the beaches of Orihuela this year.

An autopsy is being carried out to determine the cause of death.
