No News Regarding Torrevieja Boardwalk Improvements

Torrevieja mayor José Manuel Dolón has written to the Alicante Provincial Council to find out why no work has started on the project for improving the boardwalk in the city between Punta Margalla and Avenida de las Habaneras. The project was being funded by Torrevieja council and the Alicante Provincial council and is meant to see new paving, lighting, and benches as well as play areas.  

Dolón says that he met with provincial engineers in September and was told by them that it was “not convenient to start the work” despite the fact that a million-euro tender was awarded at the end of last year.
